SANA 2004 Conference
Student Travel Grants
To apply submit your paper or session
abstract, contact information, and a cover
letter detailing your relationship to the
anthropology of North America. As funds are
limited, awardees that are closer to the
conference city will receive smaller grants
than awardees that must travel a greater
distance, so please also include a brief
statement of how you plan to travel to the
conference. The application deadline for the
student travel grant to the 2004 SANA
conference is March 12, 2004.
Email your complete application to
sanatravelgrant@yahoo.com.
The student travel grant will be awarded on
a competitive basis and reviewed by a
committee comprised of members from the SANA
board.
- This travel grant is intended for
currently enrolled graduate students without
a PhD. Only students who are presenting at
the conference will be considered for the
award.
- Preference will go to those students who
have previously applied for the SANA travel
grant and have not yet received one.
- Grants for attending the annual SANA
conference are $200 and $100, depending on
distance to be traveled to the conference.
The total dollar amount allocated to travel
grants is limited, therefore the number of
grants awarded depends on the number of
applicants and their travel needs.
- Grants will not be awarded to any
individual two years in a row.
- Women and minorities are especially
encouraged to apply.
