SANA 2007 Conference

 Hotel Information

New Orleans has many hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, etc. that are relatively affordable and located within an easy walk or short cab ride of the conference.  Most of the neighborhoods visitors are likely to see – Uptown, the Irish Channel, Garden District, Warehouse District, CBD, French Quarter, the Marigny, and even Bywater – were relatively undamaged by the floods.  Hotels and other housing options, restaurants, nightclubs and museums are all open and looking forward to your visit!

1) Hampton Inn New Orleans Downtown, 226 Carondelet St.  We have reserved a block of 30 rooms in this hotel, which is adjacent to the conference center.  Rooms are $119 per night for singles or doubles.  Use conference code: UN4.  The hotel can be reached at 800/292-0653 or 504-529-9990.

2) Book your room independently.  There are many housing options in New Orleans, many of which are quite affordable.  The New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau, http://www.neworleanscvb.com/ has many listings.  Other on-line travel web sites should be useful as well, including http://travel.yahoo.com, http://www.expedia.com and others.  For local information, try http://www.nola.com/visitor/ and http://wwwbestofneworleans.com/.

If you have any concerns or questions about neighborhoods, feel free to contact David Beriss, at SANA2007NOLA@gmail.com
