Delmos Jones and Jagna Sharff Memorial Book Prize
for the Critical Study of North America

 

Description, Eligibility and submission procedure

The Society for the Anthropology of North America will award this prize every other year for a single or multiple-authored book (but not edited collection) that deals with an important social issue to the discipline of anthropology, that has broader implications for social change or justice, and that is accessible beyond the discipline of anthropology.

*For single or multiple-authored books in anthropology published in 2006 and 2007, the prize will be awarded in 2008 at the SANA meeting, April 3-5 in Wrightsville Beach, NC.

*Nominations and self-nominations must include a letter of nomination, a c.v. or bio-bibliography and 4 copies of the book.

*Deadline for receipt of nominations for the 2008 prize: January 10, 2008. The winner will be notified in February 2008.

*Submissions: 4 copies of the nominating letter and book should be sent to:
