Delmos Jones and Jagna Sharff Memorial Prize for the Critical Study of North America

Description, Eligibility and Submission procedure:

This prize will be awarded every other year for a single or multiple authored book (but not edited collections) that deals with an important social issue to the discipline of anthropology, that has broader implications for social change or justice, and that is accessible beyond the discipline of anthropology.

Submissions for the book prize are now closed. The next book prize will be awarded in the Spring of 2012. Instructions for submissions for this award will be posted in September 2011.

For single or multiple-authored books in anthropology published in 2008 and 2009, the prize for the latest round of submissions is to be awarded at the SANA meeting, April 15-17th, 2010 at the University of Colorado - Denver.
