BIENNIAL BOOK PRIZE
Delmos Jones & Jagna Sharff Memorial Book Prize
Recognizes an outstanding book that explores social, political, or economic issues affecting the peoples of North America. Awarded in two categories: established and emerging scholars.
Honors a scholar who has made sustained and significant contributions to the anthropology of North America through research, mentorship, and service to the discipline.
Supports travel to the AAA Annual Meeting for graduate students whose work focuses on the anthropology of North America. Applicants must be current SANA members and enrolled in a graduate program.
Supports travel to the AAA Annual Meeting for independent scholars and contingent faculty. Named for Eleanor “Happy” Leacock, a pioneering North Americanist anthropologist.
